Prince William and Kate Middleton seem like a perfect match. The royal couple will soon celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary. But before they tied the knot, the Prince and Princess of Wales were together for at least 10 years.

But according to royal author Tom Quinn, Prince William, and Kate Middleton’s marriage is far from being perfect. In fact, they are just like other non-royal couples that have arguments and that get into fights every now and then.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Have Terrible Rows Just Like Other Non-Royal Couples?

In his book Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, Quinn also claimed that Prince William and Middleton sometimes throw things at each other during their terrible rows.

“Someone at the palace told me about the nicknames they have for each other. But it’s not all sweetness. They have terrible rows where they throw things at each other. Kate might seem to be a very calm person, and William also. But it’s not always true. Because the big stress for William and Kate is that they’re constantly surrounded by [palace aides]. It’s like a Jane Austen novel,” he told Fox News Digital.

And just like other non-royal couples, Quinn revealed that Prince William and Middleton immediately patch things up after every fight. And between the two, the Princess of Wales is the calmer one.

“Kate is very much the calm one. William is the one who’s a bit hotheaded. We see an example of that in Harry’s book. But Kate is very level-headed. She’s the one who will pour oil on troubled waters and go, ‘Let’s not stir things up,’” Quinn said.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Say Unkind Things To Each Other During Their Fights?

The royal author also claimed that Prince William hates confrontation because of everything that he went through as a child. As such, Middleton is the one who always initiates a conversation after every argument.

“Of course, privately, William and Kate, like all couples, fall out, row, shout at each other and say unkind things to each other, but Kate is an appeaser by instinct and William always gives way as he had more than enough emotional turmoil, divorce and disruption as a child. He hates confrontation,” he said.

Prince William and Middleton also reportedly do not want to be seen as a perfect couple of the royal family. After all, they know they are just like everyone else and want to be seen as an ordinary couple.

“She said, ‘Like every other couple, we have days when we are really, really cross with each other, or days when we don’t talk to each other. They want to be seen as an ordinary couple with the same stresses of having children, work, and everything else that life brings,” Quinn said.
