Prince William Heartbreak: Prince Harry Is Reportedly More Popular, The 'New Princess Diana'

Prince William is the heir to the throne, but his younger brother, Prince Harry, is more popular than him. The Duke of Sussex reportedly sells more newspapers and is the new Princess Diana.

Prince William Only Second To Prince Harry In Popularity

Prince William will be the future king after his father, Prince Charles. His younger brother, Prince Harry, grew up as his spare. However, the public prefers the younger royal.

Private investigator Gavin Burrows spoke with BBC for its documentary The Princes And The Press. He admitted that there was much greater interest in the Duke of Sussex than his older brother, the Duke of Cambridge, when he was working for the now-defunct News of the World in 2000.

Editors instructed him to put Prince Harry on the front page to sell more newspapers and that's what he did.

"As explained to me by a couple of editors, Harry had basically become the new Diana," Furrows said as quoted by Sky.

Investigator Apologizes To Prince Harry For Targetting Ex-Girlfriend Chelsy Davy

Burrows spoke about the things that happened when Prince Harry was still dating Chelsy Davy. According to him, "There was a lot of voicemail hacking going on, there was a lot of surveillance work on her phones, on her comms."

"Chelsy would brag to her friends when she was going to see him," he added.

He added that the investigators were very interested in Chelsy's medical records and educational background. He also admitted that he was "very sorry" for what he did to Prince Harry and Chelsy.

"I was greedy, I was into my cocaine, and I was living in a fake state of grandeur," Burrows said.

He added that the media culture was "ruthless" and they got no morals.

"I was basically part of a group of people who robbed him (Harry) of his normal teenage years," he added.

Chelsy broke up with Prince Harry because she didn't like the massive attention the media gave him.
