Prince William and Prince Harry were united in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth. The brothers seemingly set their issues aside for the sake of Her Majesty. However, this doesn’t mean that their relationship has been repaired for good.
Prince William Always Thought Prince Harry Would Be His Wingman
While speaking with Dan Wootton, royal author Katie Nicholl said that Prince William just couldn’t forgive Prince Harry’s behavior and what he’s done. After all, he now has to take on more responsibilities because Meghan Markle’s husband is not there to help him out.
“Ultimately William just cannot forgive his brother, not just for his behavior and what he’s done and how he’s done it, but look at how much now rests on William! He always thought Harry would be his wingman, now he’s doing it on his own,” she said (via Mirror UK).

Nicholl also claimed that it must have been sad for the queen because she never witnessed Prince William and Prince Harry repair their relationship. And it even reached a point where she became exhausted with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“It’s incredibly sad that the twilight years of her reign were marred by this awful family rift that doesn’t show any sign of being healed,” she said.
Prince William And Prince Harry Approaching Their Feud Differently
According to Nicholl, Prince William still doesn’t trust Prince Harry completely after everything that’s happened. And one palace insider echoed her sentiments by saying that the brothers’ approach to mending their rift is quite different.
“Actually, the more you see about how the Sussexes are approaching these things, it is much more Californian, much closer aligned to activism and celebrity than it is to royalty. The point about royalty is it’s the only institution that links together civic society, the philanthropic world, and the establishment. The Sussexes know they’re not able to compare to them. The key point is that they’re not even trying. What they are doing is making a difference in their politico-philanthropic world, and that’s great,” the source said (via Yahoo! News).
But despite Prince William’s ill feelings toward Prince Harry leaving him with all the work, Nicholl also said that he and Kate Middleton were somehow relieved when he quit his duties. After all, they thought that this would put an end to all the ongoing drama. However, this isn’t necessarily what happened.
To this day, drama still surrounds the royal family, particularly Prince William and Prince Harry.
