A former fling of Prince Harry weighed in on his marriage to Meghan Markle. She believed he would be happier if he chose a wife like his sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry Is Better Off With Kate Middleton Than Meghan Markle?
Catherine Ommaney, who claimed to have had a brief romance with Prince Harry, criticized his wife, Markle. The reality star told GB News that the Duke of Sussex would be happier if he found a wife like the Princess of Wales.
Ommaney said, per Marca.
"I would have loved for him to have ended up with somebody like Kate, who is suitable to the role. But he has, in my opinion, chosen somebody who is almost polar opposite."
She added:
"I genuinely feel really sad because he's dug himself a really big hole. He's saying he's happy but he doesn't really look happy to me. He looks the saddest I've ever seen him."
Meghan Markle Manipulated Prince Harry?
She also added that Prince Harry had changed. She speculated that Markle was "manipulating and controlling" him because he was very different from the guy she met decades ago.
She continued:
"I know it was a long time ago but I really definitely think that he's not the person I met at all."
She concluded:
"I still have a lot of respect for him and vice versa, but I'm just really sad for him and I'm sad for the monarchy and the Royal Family."
Prince Harry Made The Wrong Decision In Marrying Meghan Markle?
British journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower claimed in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War between the Windsors, published in 2022, that Prince Harry's pals disapproved of Markle for him.
According to him, Prince Harry's friends called him "f--king nuts" for dating Markle. She also challenged their jokes with her woke values, making them feel she had no sense of humor.
Markle's lack of sense of humor had reportedly dampened the party. Prince Harry was allegedly looking forward to an endless banter with his pals.
Bower wrote, per Daily Record:
"He had not anticipated Meghan's reaction. Their jokes, involving sexism, feminism and transgender people, ricocheted around the living-rooms and dining-rooms. Without hesitation, Meghan challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values."
Bower continued:
"She lacked any sense of humour. Driving home after Sunday lunch, the texts pinged between the cars: 'OMG, what about HER?' said one. 'Harry must be f***ing nuts'."
