Prince Harry Wants Fortnite Banned

Few games are as popular as Fortnite, making the battle royale genre more popular than ever. Sure, some would argue that Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) or Apex Legends are far superior titles but the fact that many streamers still play Fortnite is a testament to how popular it is. Also, kids still love the game's dances, even if they came from actual artists first.

The game has a lot of detractors but none of them are bigger than Prince Harry. Yeah, the heir to the throne recently discussed how addicting social media is, leading to a lot of young people getting depressed, and he brought up Fortnite. Since the game is free-to-play, a lot of younger gamers have played it and the prince feels that the shooter is addictive and shouldn't be allowed in houses.

"A game like Fortnite for instance may not be so good for children. Parents have got their hands up; they don't know what to do about it.It's like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down. Fortnite shouldn't be allowed. Where is the benefit in having that game in your household? It's created to addict – an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It's so irresponsible."

Some would argue that the prince is being a bit too harsh since all media is made for people to play/witness them. Really, it's up to the parents to make sure that their kids are doing well and maybe even limit their play time. He has some points, for sure, but the game isn't exactly cancer.

Fortnite is available now on pretty much every gaming system.
