Prince Harry Keeps Princess Diana's Favorite Perfume, Brings It To His Therapy Sessions

In Prince Harry's book, he shared that his late mother's favorite perfume has also become a special fragrance for him. He wrote in his memoir Spare that he took the bottle with him during his therapy sessions.

"At the start of our session, I lifted the lid, took a deep sniff. Like a tab of LSD," he wrote, Page Six reported.

Prince Harry Was In Denial Following Princess Diana's Death

King Charles and Princess Diana's youngest son had a hard time accepting her death. In her interview with Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes, he admitted that he had been in denial for years and was still hoping she was alive.

"For a long time. I just refused to accept that she was gone," Prince Harry said, Entertainment Tonight reported.

"Part of [it was] she would never do this to us. But also, part of it maybe [felt like] this is all part of a plan. For a time [I believed she was alive] and then she would call us, and we would go and join her."

It took many years for him to come to terms with Princess Diana's death, who passed away in a car crash in Paris, France, on Aug. 31, 1997, when he was only 12. According to him, he didn't see pictures of the accident until he was 20.

Proof that she was injured and proof that the very paparazzi that chased her into the tunnel were the ones that were taking photographs of her lying half dead in the back [of the car]. The pictures showed the reflection of a group of photographers taking photographs through the window and the reflection on the window was them."
