Prince Harry Better Equipped To Be King Than Brother Prince William

Prince William and Prince Harry were very close to their mom Princess Diana when she was alive. Robert Jobson recounted when the late Princess of Wales would refer to her youngest son, Prince Harry, "GKH" or "Good King Harry."

Apparently, Prince William confided to his mother that "he didn't want to be king." His younger brother heard it and presented himself.

"She used to refer to Harry as GKH (Good King Harry) because she thought he’d probably be better equipped for the role in the future than William," Jobson said on Channel 5 program William & Harry: Princes At War? per Mirror.

TV broadcaster Jeremy Paxman also shared a similar story. According to him, they talked about their sons during a lunch meeting and Princess Diana told him that her eldest son is reluctant to take on the throne after his father, Prince Charles.

"We talked about our children and she said William often told her that he didn’t really want to be king, and then Harry would say, ‘If you don’t want the job I’ll have it," Paxman shared.

Meanwhile, royal biographer Jennie Bond also shared how Princess Diana sees Prince William as the future leader of the monarchy. Bond said the late royal once told her, "the country is lucky to have William, he's all right."

When he was a child, he presented himself to take on the job. However, when he was grown up, he said in one interview, "Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time."
