Prince Harry’s memoir Spare has been out on the market for the past three days. But even before its scheduled release on Jan. 10, excerpts from the book were already leaked to the press. So, those who have read the stories that the Duke of Sussex shared would know that he dropped bombshell after bombshell about the royal family in his memoir.
Prince Harry Wanted To Get A Response From The Royal Family Following The Release Of Spare?
But despite everything that he has said, the royal family has not responded directly to Prince Harry’s allegations. Now, royal author Christopher Andersen is alleging that Meghan Markle’s husband must be frustrated because he didn’t get a reaction from the royal family.
“I think he’s trying to get a rise out of somebody. But as we approach the coronation, I think all King Charles wants is calm… [which is], I think, making [Harry] very frustrated that he’s not getting any kind of response,” he told Us Weekly.

King Charles, Prince William, And Kate Middleton Have Not Directly Responded To Prince Harry’s Memoir
As of late, some unnamed sources have spoken on behalf of King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton following the release of Spare. However, none of them have spoken directly to the three senior royals.
For instance, a source told Us Weekly that Prince William is absolutely horrified by what Prince Harry wrote about him in his memoir.
“[William] doesn’t even recognize his own brother anymore. He wants to believe that there’s hope for peace down the line, but it’s hard. William doesn’t see how Harry can come back into the fold… At this point, he’s got no plans to speak to Harry. He’s come to terms with the fact [that] he’s lost his little brother and quite possibly for life,” the source said.
Another source told the same publication that Middleton is appalled and very upset about Prince Harry’s revelations.
“It’s hit them very hard. They’re both confiding in each other right now. Harry and Meghan should’ve handled these issues behind closed doors. William wished d these issues behind closed doors and that William wished Harry wasn’t so public and cutting [with his accusations about the royal family,” the source said.
As for King Charles, another source told Us Weekly that he and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, are outraged by what Prince Harry wrote about them in his memoir.
“Charles is distraught. He’s angry and outraged that Harry’s aired so many embarrassing and damaging assertions, and it’s put him in a terrible position with Camilla of course now that she’s been dragged into the equation. That’s really crossed the line in more ways than one, but there are so many egregious comments and revelations from Harry that his father doesn’t know where to start. He has hope that in time the dust will settle and Harry will soften his heart toward his family, at least he hopes so. But he’s not going to push or apologize,” the source said.
King Charles Might Not Invite Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To His Coronation?
After everything that’s been said about the royal family, Andersen claimed that he’s no longer sure that he would see Prince Harry and Markle at King Charles’ coronation on May 6.
“Charles is very defensive when it comes to Camilla, and therefore, anything negative about Camilla, he’s going to take well at all. So, we’ll just have to see what he does. I was convinced that Harry and Meghan would be in the coronation, now I’m not so convinced they’ll even be asked,” he said.
