The son of Prince Charles has been very vocal about his desire to protect his wife, Meghan Markle, who has become a favorite subject of condemnations since they were first romantically linked to each other in 2016. Recently, Prince Harry was seen attending Super Bowl with his cousin, Princess Eugenie, and a body language expert, who analyzed his gesture during the recent sighting, claimed that he is trying to show he is an “average bloke.” Keep on reading to know more details.
Has Prince Harry Shifted From Royal To Celebrity?
Body language expert Judi James told Express U.K. that Prince Harry has shifted from “royal” to “celebrity, rather than the average bloke in the street.” Country singer Mickey Guyton bumped into Meghan Markle’s husband at the game and shared a snap of them on her social media account, with the caption:
“I met Prince Harry. He was just lovely. I even curtsied in my track suit.”
The said photo showed Prince Harry donning a mask while his and Mickey’s arms are wrapped around each other for the occasion. The hand of Meghan Markle’s better half rested on the singer’s shoulder while Mickey’s was placed on his waist as they both smiled at the camera.
Judi James looked at the image and stated:
“The body language in this pose makes it look like a classic selfie, with a delighted fan leaning in beaming to get a shot with his favorite U.S. country artist. Of course that ‘fan’ is Prince Harry though, making the dynamics of this pose very different and even curious in royal terms. Whether it’s him or Mickey Guyton who is the more star-struck fan here is hard to tell. But it is obvious that Harry appears to have gone into full celebrity mode here at the backstage buffet during the Super Bowl in LA.”
The body language expert went on to say that:
“Harry looks so keen and relaxed here and it’s not just a ‘fan-hug’, it’s a very tactile hug, involving Mickey nestling under Harry’s armpit with their torsos close as he performs a very firm-looking finger clasp on her upper arm. Harry looks totally into this selfie-style pose, not only leaning in with his head and his torso but also pushing his left hip into the pose, too. He might be wearing a mask but his beam of delight is signalled via his eye-smile with crinkling at the corners of the eyes as well as a cup-shaped effect beneath the eye that suggests his mouth smile is wide beneath that mask. Having described himself as a ‘typical guy’ in his most recent appearance, Harry looks keen to prove that claim, although he might just have moved from ‘royal’ body language to ‘celebrity’ rather than looking like the average bloke in the street here.”

Royal Fans Defend Prince Harry And Meghan Markle From A ‘Hypocrisy’
Meanwhile, avid supporters of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were quick to defend the Sussex couple from so-called “horrific double standards.” They also pointed out the “hypocrisy” in the way the public, the press, and the royal family treated Duke and Duchess of Sussex after Prince Andrew reached a multi-million-dollar settlement with Virginia Giuffre.
In light of the settlement, numerous followers of the royal family also pointed out the humbug in the treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Referring to a 2019 headline that read: “How Meghan’s favorite avocado snack – beloved of all millennials -- is fueling human rights abuses, drought, and murder,” one Twitter user wrote:
“Your regular reminder that Harry and Meghan got excommunicated from the royal family for eating avocados and asking politely not to be racially abused.”
Another netizen stated:
“Why is the reporting around Andrew far less vicious than anything around Meghan/Harry. I mean, according to the press, naming their child Lilibet caused the Queen way more upset and distress than this horrendous debacle.”
Other followers of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle even suggested that critics of the Sussex pair would go as far as finding a way to blame them for the Prince Andrew situation. A third source wrote on Twitter:

Aside from complaining about how other members of the royal family had treated them and the media while still in the U.K., Meghan Markle claimed that her time as a royal was “almost unsurvivable.” The wife of Prince Harry even stated that she struggled with suicidal thoughts while living in the palace but did not receive mental health help despite her requests.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to respond to their fans’ remarks.
