Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been promoting vaccine equity. Thus, many questioned the couple's principle for keeping their $25 million deal with Spotify after the streaming giant aired Joe Rogan's anti-vaccine views.

Prince Harry Labeled 'Two-Faced' For Continuing Multi-Million Deal With Spotify

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a $25 million multi-year deal with Spotify in December 2020. Just recently, the company posted a job vacancy looking for an experienced publisher to work with the royal couple's Archewell Studio for their weekly podcast episodes.

Prince Harry and Markle haven't produced any content, except for the 30-minute holiday special shortly after signing a deal with Spotify.

Thus, many were not happy that they continued their deal with the company following Joe Rogan's anti-vaccine rant.

"Refusing to cut ties with Spotify after they’ve aired anti-vaxxer material is incredibly two-faced," an unnamed source told The Sun. "If he was that principled, and meant what he said, he’d cut ties, even if at a personal financial cost."

Rock veteran Neil Young, 76, made a move to show his disappointment and demanded that Spotify — which has 172 million subscribers — withdraw all his music over its ties to Rogan.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Mocked Over Lack Of Spotify Content

When Spotify announced that it was looking for a publisher to work with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, many speculated that the company was taking the matter to their hands after the royal couple failed to produce content in 2021. Several also mocked them on social media for not delivering what was expected from them.

"Harry hasn't ever done anything. Huge team [has] to do his stuff. On Invictus Games, staff had to [do] the work. He's just a talking head. Meghan can't focus on anything for long," one tweeted.

Morning Brew shared a meme about the issue on the micro-blogging site. The artwork features a person as Spotify nudging Prince Harry and Markle's name on the ground with a stick. "C'mon, do something..." the caption read.

"Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a $25 million podcast deal with Spotify…but didn’t produce a single piece of content in 2021," Morning Brew added. "Spotify has reportedly hired in-house producers to give them a kick in the arse. The couple’s no-show is just one in a long list of Spotify podcast announcements that have yet to generate content."

Some urged Prince Harry and Markle's critics to leave the royal couple because they have no idea about the contract. Also, Spotify didn't even complain about the lack of content.

"Since you have no knowledge about the content of the agreement with Spotify, let's wait for Spotify to complain. Imagine they are the ones spending the money, but others are bit--ing about things that don't even concern them one bit. It's so bizarre!" one commented.
