Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in the United Kingdom this week for some engagements. However, earlier reports claimed they didn't have any plans to meet Queen Elizabeth or any members of the royal family. But the Duke of Sussex reportedly rushed to his grandmother, who passed away Thursday.
Prince Harry Rushed To His Grandmother Queen Elizabeth But Was Too Late
Prince William's brother is already at the Scottish castle. He arrived at the Queen's estate without his wife. However, he didn't have the chance to say his final goodbye to his late grandmother, New York Post reported. The outlet added that most of the family members didn't make it in time.
Markle's reps previously said that she would be heading to Scotland with her husband to see the Queen. However, their plans changed because of the "fluid" situation.
Insiders found no issues with Markle's decision not to go with her husband to Balmoral, saying there was nothing nefarious in it. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were already staying in the UK, in their official residence Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, when the news of the Queen's condition broke.
Meanwhile, Prince William was seen driving an official Range Rover at the Queen's Balmoral Thursday afternoon. He was accompanied by his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Sussex.
Prince Charles and Princess Anne were also reportedly there.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Reportedly Avoiding Royal Family To Only Receive A Warm Welcome
Prior to Queen Elizabeth II's passing, several sources said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had no plans to meet her or Prince Charles. The Prince of Wales reportedly invited them to join him in Scotland, but they declined the invitation.
"There's certainly no expectations for Harry and Meghan to see any members of the royal family. The Queen and Prince Charles are up in Scotland for their summer vacation," royal commentator Victoria Arbiter said on Sunrise.
The couple's decision to reject the invitation reportedly "illustrates just how frosty this relationship still is." She also mentioned how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew back to Los Angeles even before the Platinum Jubilee celebration wrapped up. The Sussexes took their trip back to their home while the Queen made another balcony appearance to conclude the four-day event.
Arbiter said Prince Harry and Markle's return to the UK was a "very carefully managed visit." Following the frosty reception they received during the Platinum Jubilee, Arbiter felt that they wanted to ensure they only received a warm welcome this time.
"I do think that Harry and Meghan have very carefully chosen the organizations that they are going to be interacting with," Arbiter said.
"As you mentioned, they'll be up in Manchester for the One Young World Summit, Meghan has been involved with them since 2014. They'll be in Dusseldorf for the Invictus Games, of course, Prince Harry's beloved organization. And then they'll be with the World Child Awards on Thursday, another of Harry's most favorite organizations. So, they've made sure to stay on friendly territory, and I think with those organizations, in particular, they'll be a warm welcome."
