Prince Harry is reportedly bringing back his family issues to benefit himself, according to a report. A royal expert weighed in o his various projects in the past months ahead of his attendance at King Charles' coronation this week.

Prince Harry Resurrects Family Issues For Profit?

Royal historian Robert Lacey, author of the 2020 book Battle of Brothers: William and Harry — the Inside Story of a Family in Tumult, argued that the Duke of Sussex is becoming a "figure of fun" in the United States.

Lacey made the comment after Prince Harry dropped his memoir Spare in January. In his book, he made several allegations against his brother, Prince William, sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, stepmom Queen Camilla and dad, King Charles.

Weighing in on Prince Harry's move, Lacey claimed he was threatening to overshadow his father's special day — His Majesty's coronation.

Lacey said on GB News (via Express):

"At this moment of such importance in his father's life, [he is] resurrecting these matters for essentially his own profit. What's interesting at the moment is even in America, the once popular Sussexes are now figures of fun."

A survey showed that Prince Harry's net approval rating was 20 percent. Meanwhile, 26 percent disliked him.

Prince Harry's popularity dropped after he and Markle released their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. The six-part documentary also revealed several issues between the Sussexes and the royals.

Prince Harry Reportedly Supports His Father

TalkTV's royal correspondent Sarah Hewson also weighed in on the issue. According to her, the Sussexes' interview with Oprah Winfrey damaged their relationship with the royal family.

She said:

"There is no doubt that the Oprah interview, the Netflix documentary and the book Spare have caused immeasurable damage to the relationship between Harry and his family."

Hewson believed that Prince Harry should attend his father's coronation despite their falling out.

"Coming on his own is going to be a daunting prospect for him, but he has to be there. His dad really wanted him to be there, it would have been very sad if he wasn't."

Buckingham Palace had already confirmed that the Duke of Sussex would attend the event. However, his wife, Markle, and their two children would remain in California.

Prince Harry's decision to attend his father's coronation received mixed responses. However, sources claimed he had no other intention but to support her father.

An insider told U.K.'s The Telegraph:

"It is about showing up, showing support and being there for his father. It was a very personal decision, not a PR one."

Do you agree that Prince Harry should attend his father's coronation? What do you think is his motivation to be at his father's crowning?
