Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Do Not Have Enough Content For Their Netflix Docuseries

During a recent interview, royal expert Neil Sean claimed that Netflix is stalling the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries because they feel there’s not enough quality content to be included in the show.

“On this docuseries, a very good source told me that the bottom line is that there just isn’t enough content. You have the Invictus Games in the Netherlands, a bit of footage in New York. But they are not allowed to use the footage from the queen’s state funeral, and you have a little bit from when they came over for the Platinum Jubilee,” he said (via Cheat Sheet).

Sean also denied the ongoing claims that Netflix is having doubts about releasing Prince Harry and Markle’s docuseries because they want to remove the unsavory remarks the couple made about King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

Netflix Is The One Stalling The Release Of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Docuseries

Daily Mail editor Richard Eden also alleged that Netflix is stalling Prince Harry and Markle’s docuseries because it lacks drama.

“For any good fly-on-the-wall documentary, you need some tension, you need drama, otherwise, it’s just boring, isn’t it? You know, Netflix, they do want bang for their buck. Look, [the Sussexes] always been keen to keep the children out of the public eye, but then when they gave that interview to Oprah Winfrey, what did we see? We saw Archie, you know, along the beach, and we saw the first glimpses of family. So, I’m sure Netflix, if they’re paying that money, would expect to see the children as well,” he said (via Marie Claire).

Netflix Did Not Cancel Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Docuseries

However, another source told Daily Mail that Netflix is adamant about releasing the docuseries no matter what, and it is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who are panicking over it.

“Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths. They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided — to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely,” the source said.

As of writing, Prince Harry and Markle have not shared an update regarding their docuseries. Netflix hasn’t also announced that they have plans to cancel the project.
