Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made several attacks against the royal family. However, their latest efforts seem to have backfired as their popularity in Britain has continued to drop.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Popularity Dropped Again

In September, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reunited with the royal family and even participated in processions for Queen Elizabeth's funeral. Before the Queen's death on Sept. 8, 2022, Prince Harry saw an uptick in popularity in his home country.

He received a positive rating of 47%, which was 15 points higher than his rating in the previous months. However, 46% still held a negative review of him, changing his status from "unpopular" to "divisive."

Meanwhile, his wife, Meghan Markle, has remained unpopular, with 59% holding an unfavorable view of the duchess.

However, following the leaks of Prince Harry's book Spare, his popularity dropped again. Redfield and Wilton surveyed 1,500 adults for Spectator, and only three in 10 or 30% had a "very favorable" or "favorable" view of the Duke of Sussex compared to the 45% who thought the opposite, Express reported.

The Duchess of Sussex has also remained unpopular. "Less than two months ago, 36% of the public had a positive view of Meghan versus 38% who thought negatively of her, but those figures have since plummeted to 23% and 52%, respectively," the report added.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Dubbed 'Most Unpopular And Distrusted Couple'

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan last month. Just weeks after dropping their documentary, Prince Harry is releasing his memoir Spare.

British conservative commentator Nile Gardiner, former aide to the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, branded Prince Harry and Markle the "most unpopular couple in modern British monarchy history" following the results of the polls.
