Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always put up a united front in public. However, Princess Diana's former bodyguard finds something odd between the royal couple.

Is There Something Odd In Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Relationship?

Ken Wharfe, who worked as Princess Diana's personal protection officer between 1988 and 1993, spoke with GB New's Mark Dolan about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. There were rumors that she brainwashed Prince William's brother, and he weighed in on the speculations.

"Well I think that when you look at the wedding and the public events that followed - an event in Nottingham and that event in London - she [Meghan] is the consummate actress, the consummate performer," he said, Express reported.

"You could see the look in Harry's eyes saying 'hey look what I've got, it's amazing', but where did it all fall apart? Whether he is completely under her control, some people say that he is, I can't say that in all honesty. It seems to me that something is not quite right in that relationship."

Is Prince Harry Happy After Marrying Meghan Markle?

Wharfe had watched Prince William and Prince Harry grow up while serving the late Princess of Wales. When asked if the Duke of Sussex was happy compared to the "Harry he once knew," the officer said he "looked quite confident" and credited it to Markle, saying he "had a good teacher over the last three or four years."

The host, Dolan, noted that for him, Prince Harry didn't look happy. Wharfe shared the same sentiment.

"I don't think he is," Wharfe said.

"If you look at him up until the point of his marriage, Harry was the joker. The most popular member of the Royal Family. Even more popular at that time than the late Her Majesty the Queen."

Wharfe added that Prince Harry and Markle's popularity has plummeted to levels no one could ever imagine. When asked if he buys the idea that Prince Harry wasn't thrilled being his big brother's spare, the officer didn't think it was the case.

He explained that King Charles and Princess Diana's sons were both aware of their roles from day one. He didn't think Prince Harry had a problem with that and wondered why he would have issues with that.

Prince Harry laid bare his grievances being Prince William's spare in his memoir Spare, which hit shelves on Jan. 10.

What can you say about Wharfe's statements about Prince Harry? Do you think Meghan Markle had some influence on his book?
