According to Heat World, the palace suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrate Christmas in Montecito because they are anticipating all the backlash that the duke’s memoir and the couple’s docuseries would cause.
“So, the palace has gently suggested that this year, Harry and Meghan stay and enjoy their tofu turkey in Montecito, 6,000 miles away. Harry and Meghan will try to dress it up as their decision, but this is a huge snub. The bottom line is that they’ve both been banned from Christmas,” the source said (via IBTimes.com.uk).

Royal Family Allegedly Worried About The Contents Of Prince Harry’s Memoir
Prince Harry allegedly doesn’t have plans to send the royal family advance copies of his memoir because he’s not in a position to do so. So, the royal family allegedly fears that some of the stories in his memoir will be highly offensive to his family.
“To say that we have enough of Harry’s memoir is an understatement. It’s a constant topic of conversation and, quite honestly, it’s making them ill trying to guess what ghastly content is going to be served up. With it being published just into the New Year, it ensures that it’ll be the elephant in the room over the holidays and could sour the overall mood at a time they should be relaxing,” the source claimed.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Plan To Return To The UK Someday?
The publication also called it a snub that Prince Harry and Markle have not been invited to celebrate Christmas with the royal family. However, the couple allegedly hopes to return to the United Kingdom one day when things have calmed down.
“They’re very aware it’s not the time to be heading to the UK. The hope on their part is that the fallout from Harry’s memoir won’t be too extreme, and they’ll be able to return to England when everything calms down. They insist that the book should be accepted and understood since it’s truthful and fair – but only time will tell whether they’ve bitten off more than they can chew and gone too far this time,” the source said.
As of late, the palace has not yet announced its Christmas plans.
