Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Appear In First Trailer For Harry & Meghan

The short clip explains why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to share their story with the world. The Duchess of Sussex said that if the stakes are this high, wouldn’t it make more sense if their story came straight from her and Prince Harry?

Prince Harry also reiterated his stance about protecting his family in the teaser.

But following its release, some royal commentators immediately slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Accused Of Destroying Their Respective Families?

Presenter Dan Wootton, who writes for Daily Mail, called the couple shameless.

“Right on cue, Harry and Meghan drop the trailer for their victimhood fest on Netflix. Shameless. Meghan has already destroyed the Markles. Now Harry is trying to destroy the Windsors. Small mercy that the late Queen doesn’t have to live through this,” he tweeted (via The New York Post).

Talk TV host Julia Hartley-Brewer also called Prince Harry and Markle “victims extraordinaire.”

Nile Gardiner, the former aide for Margaret Thatcher, also criticized the couple.

“If an Academy Award was given for hubris, vanity, and narcissism, Meghan and Harry would be top contenders,” he said.

Piers Morgan, who is a known critic of Markle, immediately reacted to the trailer.

“Imagine bleating about privacy then doing a kiss-and-tell reality series about your private lives? Then imagine preaching compassion as you trash your family again. Then imagine releasing 1st trailer deliberately to ruin your brother’s big trip to America. Repulsive hypocrites,” Morgan said.

YouTube Disabled The Dislike Button On Harry & Meghan Trailer?

Less than 24 hours after Harry & Meghan was uploaded on YouTube, reports also swirled that the dislike button was disabled by the platform. But upon closer inspection, the dislike button below the trailer works.

As of writing, 1.7 million watched the trailer of Harry & Meghan on YouTube, and the clip garnered over 3.3 million views on Netflix’s official Twitter page.

Almost 20,000 combined comments have also been recorded on both platforms.

On YouTube, some commenters said that they enjoyed reading the reactions of other viewers more than watching the trailer itself.

“How lucky is Meghan that always has the camera recording when she is crying,” Skylar Phoenix commented.

“The distressed picture of Megan in the chair with a Hermes blanket behind it is worth more than my salary,” Nicole Islas commented.

Harry & Meghan’s official release date will be announced by Netflix soon.
