Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived in Nottingham Cottage before they moved to Frogmore Cottage in his memoir Spare. King Charles' youngest son said in his memoir that his first home with Markle, Nottingham Cottage, was a far cry from the Prince and Princess of Wales' lavish Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.

"The wallpaper, the ceiling trim, the walnut bookshelves filled with volumes of peaceful colors, priceless works of art. Magnificent. Like a museum," Prince Harry wrote, New York Post reported.

"As far as people were concerned, we were living in a palace — and we were, in a cottage on palace grounds," Prince Harry said in the documentary.

"It's a lovely, classic Victorian cottage. It's probably two-up, three [rooms] down. It's not very big, incredibly small," former police protection officer Ken Wharfe told People.
