Prince Harry and Kate Middleton shared a close bond. However, according to an expert, Meghan Markle and her brother-in-law, Prince William, were reportedly not as warm to each other.
Prince Harry's Brother Prince William, Wife Meghan Markle Not Warm To Each Other?
Body language expert Judi James spoke with Express and discussed the lack of warmth between the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Sussex based on their gestures when they were spotted together.
"It is hard to find any pose that has William and Meghan displaying even that polite warmth," James said. "There was one kiss on the cheek as a public greeting, but William seemed to perform it on the hoof rather than lingering."
"His warmest gesture probably came when he beckoned her over to join them at the start of the walkabout after the death of the queen."
In September, the future king invited his brother and sister-in-law to join him and his wife, Kate Middleton, for a walkabout following Queen Elizabeth's death. It was the first time the fab four were spotted close to each other because they were never as close during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration in June.
James said it was visible that the heir to the throne sparked the public reunion.
"There were moments of communication between the four and it was obvious that this was William's decision and instigation. He led the choreography and he was the one to hold out an arm to gesture Meghan to join the group and be introduced to their host," she told Mirror.
Despite their efforts to put on a united front, James said it was visible that there was tension as they didn't show a high level of bonding.
"There were no add-on tie signs between the two couples to suggest anything fonder or more affectionate had been achieved behind the scenes."
Prince Harry Says He And Brother Prince William Fight Over Meghan Markle
In Prince Harry's memoir Spare, he detailed a physical row against his big brother. The Duke of Sussex alleged that the heir to the throne attacked him when they were arguing over his wife, Markle.
Prince William reportedly dropped by his and Markle's home at Nottingham Cottage to speak about his American wife. However, Middleton's husband was reportedly already "piping hot" when he arrived. They had an argument that led to a physical altercation.
"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor," Prince Harry wrote, according to The Guardian.
"I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

Harry said Prince William left and returned "looking regretful, and apologised." His brother also allegedly told Prince Harry that he need not inform Markle about the incident.
Several royal experts said Prince Harry and Prince William's relationship started to have issues when the latter advised the former to slow down with his romance with Markle. The younger royal reportedly took it the wrong way feeling his brother wasn't supportive of his love life the way he had been supportive of him and his sister-in-law Middleton.
