Prince Harry recounted his previous romances in his book Spare. Among the relationships he revisited was with his then-long-time girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.
What Did Prince Harry Love About Chelsy Davy?
Prince William's younger brother shared the things about his ex-girlfriend, Davy, that he loved. Apparently, he loved how she carried out her free-spirited lifestyle.
"I loved Chels’ ease, that she wasn’t complicated," he wrote in his book, Page Six reported. "She didn’t care what anyone thought. She wore miniskirts and high-heeled boots, danced however she wanted, drank tequila like me, and all of this made me really happy."
Prince Harry Wasn't Sure If Chelsy Davy Was The One
Prince Harry and Davy dated on and off from 2004 to 2011. When they were together, the paparazzi stalked Davy. Although he knew he really loved her, he "wasn't sure" if she was the one because she wasn't on board with his lifestyle being hounded by the press.
"The whole world isn’t made to put up with constant scrutiny, and I don’t know if Chels could bear it, and I couldn’t ask her to," Prince Harry shared.
"Chels insisted that she was not sure if she was prepared for all of that. A whole life with someone on your heels? What could I say to her?"
He spoke about their split and expressed support for her decision, noting that he wanted the same.
"I would miss her very much, but I understood she put her freedom first. If I had the choice, I’d want to live like that as well."

Queen Elizabeth Among The Factors In Prince Harry And Chelsy Davy's Split?
Davy's free-spirited lifestyle that Harry appreciated was among the things that his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and the other people were having second thoughts about her. He admitted that their opinions about the girl he was going out with weighed heavily on his heart.
Prince Harry said he didn't want his former girlfriend to change to please anyone, including his grandmother.

"I couldn’t help what my grandmother thought about it. Or the people. And the last thing I wanted was for Chels to change to please them," he said.
Prince Harry and Davy split for good in 2011. They have remained good friends. Davy was even present when Prince Harry tied the knot with Meghan Markle in May 2018.
She married Sam Cutmore-Scott in May 2022, and they welcomed their firstborn, Leo, in October.
