Prince Harry sat down for two interviews ahead of the release of his highly-anticipated book Spare. One author and historian weighed in on his statements after teasers of his sit-downs were released.

Prince Harry Is 'Clearly A Man In Pain,' Royal Expert Claims

Tessa Dunlop, an author and historian, shared her thoughts after watching the clips of Prince Harry's interview with 60 Minutes and Tom Bradby on ITV.

"What we’ve got is a perfect storm where the Duke of Sussex is clearly a man in pain," Dunlop said on GB News.

She believed that it wasn't easy for Prince Harry to lose his dad and brother.

"I think perhaps inevitably his two primary family members, remaining family members, were his brother and his father until he married Meghan Markle, and now he’s lost both of them. So, he’s suffering. I think that’s perhaps inevitable," she continued.

In the teaser, Prince Harry spoke about wanting his family back. He also alleged that they were not willing to reconcile.

"I want a family, not an institution. ... They've shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile," he claimed in a teaser for the ITV interview, Us Weekly reported. "I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back."

"It never needed to be this way. The leaking and the planting ... They feel as though it's better to keep us, somehow, as the villains."

Prince Harry Is Reportedly Wrong About Claiming That Royals Are Not Willing To Reconcile With Him

Several sources refuted Prince Harry's statement that he wanted his family back, but they were not willing to mend the relationship. Sources close to the King told the Telegraph that His Majesty has made it clear that his communication channels are open for his youngest son.

A well-placed royal source spoke with Mirror and called Prince Harry's claim "complete and unadulterated nonsense." The tipster said King Charles had made several invitations to the Sussexes. He reportedly invited them twice last year.

"It takes some audacity to say that when his father invited him to stay at his house when in the UK, invited him to spend Christmas with the rest of the family and continued to make public statements of support," the source said. "It's outrageous."
