Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday. They received the President's Awards and shared the stage for their joint acceptance speech. However, body language experts noticed that the Duke of Sussex was not his best self, unlike the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry Allegedly Felt Left Behind, Meghan Markle Didn't Reciprocate Need For Support

Body language expert Darren Stanton spoke with Express about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's recent outing after seeing footage of them from the NAACP Awards. However, he noticed that Prince Harry seemed not to be in his usual self.

"Harry was not looking like his normal, relaxed self. Instead, his face was flushed and he displayed odd body language while up on stage," he told the outlet. "Sometimes when people are anxious they will smile nervously or hold something, like a coffee cup. For reassurance. In this situation, Harry is gripping the award as a means of reassurance."

He pointed out how Prince Harry wasn't smiling. For him, the royal prince was uncomfortable but went ahead to support his wife.

In contrast to Prince Harry, the duchess appeared "super confident" and calm while delivering her dialogue. On the other hand, Prince Harry positioned himself facing Markle, unconsciously feeding off her confidence.

"What I did find bizarre was that she doesn’t reciprocate Harry’s body language by turning her body towards his to show the same unconscious support he does," the expert added. "Instead, Meghan positioned herself front on to deliver her piece directly to the camera."

He continued, "It’s clear Harry felt out of place at being honoured at the awards, while Meghan was much more comfortable with the adulation and the attention that came with it and made sure to soak up the ceremony's atmosphere."

Body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass also analyzed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's appearance at the event. She agreed that Prince William's brother looked "uncomfortable."

In fact, for her, Prince Harry "looked like a fish out of water" and didn't know what to do. He also noticed his lack of smile and how he rocked back and forth, which allegedly indicated that he didn't want to be there.

Several experts claimed that Markle controls Prince Harry in public. Body language expert Jesus Enrique Rosas noticed the same in their previous engagements. According to him, she was caught on camera interrupting her husband and using gestures to let him know it was time to stand up and leave.
