The Duke of Sussex released his book on Jan. 10, a day after Kate Middleton's 41st birthday. It made 1.43 million copies during its first day of sale in the U.K., U.S. and Canada, making it the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever, according to Guinness World Records.

Guinness aid the title was previously held by former U.S. President

In his interview with Stephen Colbert on the day the book was released, the host asked him if the royal family were engaged in an active campaign undermining his book, and he said, "of course." So, his book's new record could be a sign of victory over his family's alleged attempt to offset his memoir.
