Princess Diana reportedly had a different take on her two sons' leadership. According to a report, she was more confident with Prince Harry than Prince William for a reason.

Princess Diana Prefers Prince Harry Than Prince William To Be King?

Prince William is the current heir to the throne. When his mom was still alive, he was still the second in line to the throne, and his younger brother, Prince Harry, was next to him in the line of succession.

According to royal expert Charles Rae, Princess Diana called her youngest child "GKH", short for "Good King Harry."

"Diana dubbed Harry GKH (Good King Harry) because she thought he would have been better equipped for the role as a future king," Rae said while speaking on behalf of Slingo (via Showbiz CheatSheet).

"It was also used to make Harry feel that extra special."

The outlet noted that Princess Diana called her youngest son that way, not because she wasn't confident with Prince William leading the monarchy for a reason, so she just felt that Prince Harry's personality might be a better match. Apparently, King Charles and Princess Diana's firstborn was reportedly hesitant about his role in the monarchy.

"Harry's seeming ability to cope, his ease with people and general gusto led Diana to believe that he would handle being king more easily than William," Prince Harry's biographer Angela Levin said, Express reported.

"Diana felt less confident in William. William doesn’t want to be king, and I worry about that. He doesn’t want his every move watched."

Prince William Is Now Ready For His Role As The Future King?

Many noticed that Prince William had become more confident after King Charles promoted him as the new Prince of Wales. The Duke of Cambridge got his promotion when King Charles ascended the throne in September following Queen Elizabeth's passing.

"Since becoming the Prince of Wales, William has also begun to exude a whole different level of confidence, including the way he walks in his posture and what he does with his hands," body language expert Darren Stanton said on behalf of Slingo, according to Showbiz CheatSheet. "He no longer places them inside his jacket, as he once did in previous years, which is a self-reassurance gesture."
