Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that the ex-husband of the late Princess Diana publicly praised his sons – Prince William and Prince Harry – in an essay for Newsweek for their charitable work on climate change.
In it, Prince Charles penned:
"Most recently, my elder son, William, launched the prestigious Earthshot Prize to incentivize change and help repair our planet over the next ten years by identifying and investing in the technologies that can make a difference. And my younger son, Harry, has passionately highlighted the impact of climate change, especially in relation to Africa, and committed his charity to being net-zero."

US Weekly Correspondent Christina Garibaldi stated, during an appearance on the Royally Us podcast, that Prince Charles’ latest gesture was “baby steps into making amends” with Prince Harry. Podcast co-host Christine Ross said:
“We know it's been tense, we know they are not really speaking. So it was really lovely to see Charles make such a supportive statement. He will always be proud of his son and the achievements he has made in his charitable work."
Christina Garibaldi underscored that the essay of Prince Charles for Newsweek was his first in a U.S.-based publication in over ten years. The news correspondent even described it as a “deliberate move” from the Prince of Wales.
The entertainment reporter furthered:
"Hopefully this is baby steps into making amends because we have been talking about this for years at this point. We have had experts tell us they are talking, they are not talking, we will never really know. But it's a nice thing to do, to publicly shout out his son and the hard work he has done."

"Prince Charles giving Prince Harry credit for his work on climate change shows he does not want Oprah to be the end of their relationship. A lot has happened between them and it must have been very hard for the Prince of Wales to hear some of the things his second son has been saying about him publicly. From 'total neglect' to 'genetic pain' to 'my family literally cut me off financially,' Harry gave his father both barrels in 2021.”
However, Jack Royston believes that Prince Charles does not want to prolong his alleged spat with Prince Harry, especially since his kingship might happen anytime soon. The royal expert said:
“However, the point when Charles becomes king is nearing. Such clear and public praise for Harry shows he wants to move past the acrimony and look to the future, not the past.”
