Prince Charles has been waiting to ascend the British throne his entire life. Earlier this month, the father of Prince William and Prince Harry was given a chance to get the feel of being a reigning monarch when he and Camilla Parker-Bowles stepped in for Queen Elizabeth during a traditional service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle during Maundy Thursday.
Though Prince Andrew has been on the hot seat since claims about his involvement in the infamous Jeffrey Epstein scandal were publicized, reports have it that he is not the only son of Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip who is putting a blot on the royal family. Prince Charles, per reports, has also been plagued with controversies from as far back as his failed marriage to the late Princess Diana and his alleged bizarre rituals and demands.
Now, Prince Charles is facing an investigation into his charity for an alleged cash-in-honors scandal. Keep on reading to know more details.
Does Prince Charles Have A Secret Double Life?
Star Magazine, in its upcoming May 2, 2022 issue, reported that an investigation into his charity leaves Prince Charles at risk of having his questionable private behaviors exposed. An unnamed source told the entertainment news publication:
"Charles denies any wrongdoing. But he's freaking out at what skeletons are going to come tumbling out of the closet."
The trouble began in February after it was reported that an investigation into claims that Michael Fawcett, Prince Charles' right-hand man, had accepted money from a Saudi businessman in exchange for honorary titles was launched. In early April, another member of the Prince of Wales' inner circle left his job.
Now, the news outlet suggested Prince Charles might have to take the stand to testify. The royal insider stated:
"It's embarrassing. There's all kinds of things investigators can dig up."
Prince Charles has also earned the reputation of being a ladies' man, especially with his history of carrying on a years-long affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles while he was still married to the late Princess Diana. Recently, the brother of Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew also raised many eyebrows due to his warm relationship with Princess Mary of Denmark.
An unidentified informant claimed:
"Royals are raised to behave in a formal manner. But Charles totally breaks every protocol when he's around her and is such a flirt."
It was even claimed that Prince Charles and Princess Mary keep in touch with each other thru texts. The tipster added:
"Their conversations mainly revolve around philanthropy, although they do broach on personal matters. Camilla isn't one bit happy about it."
Another form of attack on Prince Charles is the claims of his secret behavior behind closed doors. Named the "Pampered Prince" by the British media, the husband of Camilla Parker-Bowles is said to be a man of strict ritual and woe to the worker who fails to meet his needs.
A royal source said:
"He's blinded by his own privileges. He'll lose it with staff if they don't follow his rules."
The rules reportedly include obsessively changing clothes up to five times daily. It was even reported that Prince Charles throws his bespoke suits and handmade Turnbull and Asses shirts on the floor for a valet to pick up. He, allegedly, insists that his manservant squeeze his toothpaste from a crested silver dispenser for him.
Another insider told Star:
"He's so spoiled and used to getting what he wants. Even if he knows it's not necessarily the right thing to do."
With more and more of his secrets reportedly getting exposed to the public, Prince Charles is said to be facing a challenge. The informant added:
"It's Charles' worst nightmare for people to discover his 'double' life."
Prince Charles Back To Square One With Prince Harry Since Their Meeting Last Week?
Meanwhile, The Mirror reported that Prince Charles is starting from scratch again with Prince Harry and has not "spoken to him" since their secret 15-minute meeting last week. To recall, the brother of Prince William and wife, Meghan Markle, dropped by at Windsor Castle last week while on their way to The Netherlands for the Invictus Games.
During their short stay, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker-Bowles. However, an unidentified source claimed the Prince of Wales is "at a loss" after Prince Harry's comments during an interview with NBC's Hoda Kotb, where the royal said he wants to make sure Queen Elizabeth is "protected."
The royal insider also claimed that the meeting between Prince Charles and Prince Harry, while cordial, was "awkward."
“Harry loved seeing his grandmother again and he is acutely aware of her advancing years. He is desperate for Lily to meet her great-grandmother.”
Prince Charles has yet to comment on the claims that he is once again back to square one after his reunion with Prince Harry. So, devoted supporters of Camilla Parker-Bowles' husband should take all these unverified reports lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
