Prince Charles and the other royal family members are allegedly dreading the upcoming memoir of Prince Harry. There are fears that it might put the heir apparent in an awkward or uncomfortable situation.
Prince Charles Concerned About Prince Harry's Memoir Being Published Close To His Throne?
Prince Charles has lived most of his life as the heir apparent. There is no doubt that he is more than ready to take over the throne. However, he already has had enough of the controversy.
The Prince of Wales received an intense backlash when his marriage to Princess Diana ended in divorce due to his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. It took years for the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall to win the public's trust.
The Queen is already 95 and it might not take too long for Prince Charles to lead the monarchy. He is allegedly concerned that his youngest son's tome might ruin his reputation.
"I think the difficulty for Prince Charles, every time now Harry opens his mouth, he's seen to chip away at his father's credibility… this must be undermining their relationship," Richard Kay, Daily Mail's editor-at-large, told LBC per Express. "They have on the horizon the prospect of Harry's autobiography or memoir – we don't know what's going to be in it."
He added that Prince Harry has been digging into his mother and father's relationship. It's not a secret that the Prince and Princess of Wales had an unhappy marriage. Prince Harry's sympathy is obviously on his late mother and revisiting the issue might only bring back the public's issues with the future king.
"They must be dreading the publication of that book and what it will mean," Kay added. "We're edging closer to the Prince of Wales becoming monarch and every time these embarrassing situations erupt with his son; it reminds people about why they have had problems with the prospect of Charles as King."
Prince Harry Made Several Statements Against Prince Charles In Previous Interviews
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. During the tell-all, the Duke of Sussex said his dad cut them off financially after they decided to step back from their royal duties.
Meanwhile, an insider told Vanity Fair that the Prince of Wales was "upset" with what Prince Harry said to the host because it was allegedly not the case.

"Charles was quite upset at the suggestion he had cut Harry off. Initially, he didn’t and he went on to provide for some time, but there was a point when Charles decided enough was enough. The bank of dad couldn’t keep handing out indefinitely," the unnamed insider told the outlet.
Prince Harry also said they didn't get the support they needed from the royal family. His wife, Meghan Markle, was struggling with her mental health, and the palace allegedly didn't want them to get help. So, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to just step down. Following their decision, the couple relocated to the United States.
