After teasing Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin return for a second season and a change of title, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa seemed to confirm its new title, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, in a post on Instagram on Monday, October 31.
Just in time for Halloween, Aguirre-Sacasa shares a grim image of the actress Mallory Bechtel, who plays Karen in the series, along with the new title Pretty Little Liars: Summer School. So, will this be the official name of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 2?
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 2 New Title
In the image, Bechtel is inside a classroom, choking on a cheerleading megaphone while leaning on the classroom seat and resting her feet on the table.
Behind her is a chalkboard with the words Summer School written in blood. On top of it is the show’s title Pretty Little Liars.
“Happy Halloween!” Aguirre-Sacasa wrote in the caption. “It may still be October, but it’s not too early to start thinking about summer vacation. Or in the case of Millwood High’s #PrettyLittleLiars…”

According to TVLine, it’s no surprise that the Liars will end up in summer school due to their busy schedules in the previous season, facing the masked serial killer instead of doing their homework.
The title also hints at a time jump in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 2, given that the first season ended at Christmas.

In October, Aguirre-Sacasa also posted a picture inside the writers’ room, along with the show’s cast.
He alleged they came for a visit at the time, as he confirmed Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 2 was coming, and they were already working on it. But aside from updating fans, his post also hinted that “something else was on the horizon.”

"Always a treat when some little liars stop by the writers' offices to say HELLOOO, spill the tea, and tell us juicy secrets!” he captioned the snap. “Season Two of [Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin] is HAPPENING!!! But is it [Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin] again this year…or something else?"
In the statement, Aguirre-Sacasa and fellow creator Lindsay Calhoon Bring talked about the second season’s coming.
"We are beyond excited to continue telling stories with our amazing group of little liars — exploring their friendships, their romances, their secrets, and their status as scream queens supreme!" they said. ,"Eternal thanks to the fans who have embraced this new horror-version of Pretty Little Liars — which we'll be continuing, of course — as well as our partners at HBO Max, Warner Bros. Television, and Alloy Entertainment. As Tabby would say, 'There's a sequel in the offing!'"
