PlayStation 5 Controller Has Officially Been Revealed

It looks like the road to PlayStation 5-Mania has officially started, not just because some games have been revealed and its specs have been detailed but due to Sony officially revealing its new controller. Fans were used to the DualShock 4, which continues to be one of the best feeling game controllers out there, and now we have the DualSense. While the controller itself looks like an upgraded or downgraded depending on how you feel about it, Dualshock 4, it also has a number of new features.

On the PlayStation Blog, they detailed some of the newer features, including adaptive L2 and R2 triggers, a new create button replacing the previous share button, a better microphone for multiplayer (headphones are still recommended though), and so much more. The color scheme is also unique, no longer sticking to just plain black and giving us a white top and black bottom. Honestly, it looks like there's an accessory on top of a DualShock 4 but we're sure alternate designs will change our mind.

Admittedly, it's a bit hard to say goodbye to the current gaming generation, especially with amazing games like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Persona 5: The Royal available on the PlayStation 4 but we can't wait to see what newer games have in store. Hopefully, some of the newer titles start having more appeal since everything we've seen thus far looks like typical launch title fare.

The PlayStation 5 and its DualSense controller are currently scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release. Let's hope COVID-19 pisses off by then.
