Rick Riordan shared a new video on his official Twitter account that shows a bit of the set location. We don't see much in the video but it does confirm that the cast and crew are filming out in the woods with the trees and an occasional bird. Check it out below.

It's only a small glimpse but we're loving the idea that Percy Jackson and his friends are out there having fun at Camp Half-Blood. Hopefully, we'll get a better video in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Percy Jackson had previously confirmed that Virginia Kull has been cast as Percy's mom Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Mr. Brunner, Jason Mantzoukas as Mr. Dionysus, Megan Mullally as Mrs. Dodds, and Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano.

The new cast members will be joining Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhardi as Grover Underwood. Interestingly, Percy's father Poseidon has not yet been cast and people are hoping Disney+ will ultimately tap Logan Lerman.

It has already been confirmed that the new Disney+ series will adapt the first of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson book series. This means we'll get to see The Lightning Thief in the future.

For now, the Percy Jackson series is still in production and has not yet been given an official release date. However, fans are hoping that the new show will premiere on Disney+ sometime later this year or in early 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
