Fans are looking forward to Netflix's Peaky Blinders Season 6 release now that Season 5 has long ended.
The sixth and final season of the Cillian Murphy gangster series will be released in 2022. Many notable names from the show's past, including Tom Hardy and Anya Taylor-Joy, are returning.
The BBC has also released a trailer for the show, which provides fans their first peek at the final season's storyline it appears that the last season's fascism subplot will continue.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date
Peaky Blinders Season 6 has yet to get an official release date from either BBC One or Netflix; nevertheless, filming wrapped in May 2021.
The new season will most likely premiere on BBC One before March 2022, according to the show's official Twitter account, which posted a Tommy Shelby teaser in November 2021 alongside the news that it will return in "early 2022."
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Story Details
Tommy's family and friends will most likely question his leadership, and possibly even his sanity, in Season 6 of Peaky Blinders. Tommy must decide whether he wants to be Tommy Shelby, commander of the Peaky Blinders, or "Mr. Jones," a has-been using a dead man's name, all for the sake of good business, while different foes re-surface and new threats emerge. Tommy is likely to find a means to maintain power while dealing with World War II's growing presence.
Series director Anthony Byrne revealed some hints about a dangerous female character in a Digital Spy interview, which is thought to be Amber Anderson's character.
"There's a great female character who is new, who is pretty dark," he said. "I won't say who she is, but she certainly gives Tommy a run for his money."
The teaser reveals that the show would continue to follow the rise of fascism in Britain. Sam Claflin reprises his role as real-life British Union of Fascists leader Sir Oswald Mosley, and one scene depicts an audience entering a building covered in swastikas.
Aside from that, the promo doesn't disclose much plot info, save for teasing that there is "one more deal to be done, then the Peaky Blinders rest."
