Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Receives a PG Rating

It seems like the Sonic the Hedgehog movie is rolling around at the speed of sound since it will be showing in theaters a month from now. While fans were initially down on it, due to that awful character design that became a meme mere moments after it came out, the new design made a lot of fans happy, with some even saying that they'll watch the movie now because Paramount listened.

Granted, they wouldn't have had to spend millions of dollars and bankrupt an animation company if the company released a good design right off the gate but you can't cry over spilled milk.

Despite how old and creepy some of his fans are (seriously, the Sonic fandom can be pretty messed up), it's been confirmed that Sonic the Hedgehog will be a PG movie. This makes a ton of sense since he is a cute, anthropomorphic creature designed to be a toy and video game so Paramount will want to sell his likeness to a lot of kids.

We're sure there will be an occasional dirty joke here and there, not to mention a reference to his weird fanbase but this movie will be okay for kids. Will it actually be a quality movie though? We're gonna have to wait and see, though we'll be rooting for the blue blur and his myriad of furry sidekicks.

Sonic the Hedgehog comes out on February 14.
