Paramount+ Releases A Sneak Peek At Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Crisis Point Sequel


During today’s celebration of Star Trek Day, Paramount+ released a sneak peek of a scene from an upcoming episode of the animated series titled Star Trek: Lower Decks. The exclusive scene comes from the eighth episode of the show’s third season.

The episode’s title, "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus," revealed that the episode is a sequel to the Season 1 episode "Crisis Point," which was a parody of the Star Trek movies. In the clip released, Boiler’s holodeck movie sequel tries to live up to the original. Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 Episode 8 will be released on Paramount+ on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

During the Star Trek Day Celebration, Star Trek: Lower Decks panel featured the series’ voice cast Tawny Newsom, who also co-hosted the event, Noël Wells, and moderator Paul F. Tompkins. Fred Tatasciore, another cast member, served as the announcer for the event.

The cast of Star Trek: Lower Decks include Tawny Newsome who voiced Ensign Beckett Mariner, Jack Quaid who voiced Ensign Brad Boimler, Noël Wells who voiced Ensign Tendi, and Eugene Cordero who voiced Ensign Rutherford. Other cast of the series include Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connel, Fred Tatasciore, and Gillian Vigman.

Season 3 of the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks debuted on Thursday, August 25, 2022. New episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays and will be streamed exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution on Amazon Prime Video in Australie, Europe, Japan, India, New Zealand, and more. In Canada, Star Trek: Lower Decks airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and is also available to stream on Crave.
