Outlander Season 7 Will Feature William Ransom's Return

One of the major highlights of Outlander Season 7 will be the return of Jamie Fraser's secret, illegitimate son, William Ransom. The character was last seen as a young boy in Season 4 but will now be portrayed as an adult by Charles Vandervaart.

William's return will not be a straightforward one. As Vandervaart puts it, the character is a "complicated human being" with many layers to his personality. He had once been a naive boy with romantic ideas of war but has since grown up and realized the harsh realities of the world.

One of these harsh realities is the truth about his parentage. William had always believed he was the son and heir of Ludovic Ransom, Eighth Earl of Ellesmere. However, it will be revealed that Jamie is his true father after his mother, Geneva Dunsany, blackmailed him into having sex with her.

William Ransom's Tragic Storyline

The circumstances surrounding William's birth were also tragic. After Geneva died during childbirth, her husband, Ludovic, demanded that the newborn be handed over to him. When Jamie intervened, Ludovic threatened to throw the baby out the window. In the end, Jamie was forced to shoot Ludovic to save William's life.

Following Ludovic's death, William was raised by his aunt, Isobel Dunsany, and her husband, Lord John Grey. Fans are excited to see how William's complicated storyline will play out in Outlander Season 7.

Outlander Season 7 promises to be an exciting one, with the return of familiar faces and the introduction of new ones. The show's intricate plotlines and well-developed characters continue to captivate audiences, and fans can't wait to see what happens next.
