Outlander Season 6 is returning after an almost two-year hiatus. The time-traveling series will return in March, and the network has released a first-look trailer in the hopes of keeping viewers over and giving us a taste of what we can anticipate from the forthcoming season.

Outlander Season 6: Jamie’s Struggle

In the Outlander Season 6 trailer, Jamie struggles to play both loyalist and rebel. This dual role appears to be put to the test in the upcoming season. Claire notices that the dispute is heating up, and Jamie protests that he can't be both a loyalist and a rebel for much longer. Furthermore, Jamie thinks that tensions between them and their Mohawk neighbors and allies would soon turn into adversaries.

Season 6 will dive into the early events of the Revolutionary War and show how difficult life was for early settlers in America. Relationships will be tested and strained as Claire, Brianna, and Roger try to find their place in a new world that isn't designed for them.

The action-packed trailer depicts Claire and Jamie, who are very much in love, living at their homestead on Fraser's Ridge in North Carolina during the early days of America, as they struggle with foreign and domestic threats, as well as a possible conflict with their new neighbors, the Christie family.

Outlander Season 6 Premiere Date

Outlander fans will be ecstatic to see the trailer, as the March 6 premiere will be the first new episode since May 2020, when filming was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, given the show's history of putting its characters in dark and difficult circumstances, the threat of war (and that sight of what appears to be a funeral) would make prospective viewers anxious.

The wait is almost over, but in the meantime, Outlander fans will want to watch this footage to get a sense of what is in store for the Frasers.

The STARZ series based on Diana Gabaldon's series of novels of the same name started in 2014 and has maintained a solid fan base throughout its existence. Check out Jamie, Claire, and the gang in the new trailer below:
