Outlander Season 6 is only a few months away from airing, but Starz has already released a scene from the first episode as a gift to fans.

The clip isn't particularly exciting, but it establishes the atmosphere as Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) assess the issue: one of Jamie's old pals is arriving with his two sons, and despite their past, it might be troublesome.

But, as the sequence concludes, Jamie tells Claire that she's always been there for him and that she's his angel, and they begin getting it on.

What to Expect in Outlander Season 6

Season 6 has not been easy to bring to completion, as every Outlander fan knows. Despite the hurdles, Heughan told the U.K.'s Daily Record in March 2021 that all systems are go.

Outlander Season 6 has been cut to eight episodes due to the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic while filming in 2020.

The next season will pick off where Season 5 left off, with the Frasers and MacKenzies recovering from their losses and traumas. However, they have all been reunited as a family, which will help them confront the challenges ahead.

Jamie, Claire, Brianna Randall MacKenzie, Sophie Skelton as Brianna Randall MacKenzie, and Richard Rankin as Roger MacKenzie will all return.

Outlander Season 6 will also be based on Gabaldon's sixth novel, A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Season 5 of Outlander covers a chunk of the plot from A Breath of Snow and Ashes, but it is a large novel, so there is much more to come.

As the season begins, the Frasers are overcoming the traumas of the previous season: Claire's kidnapping and sexual assault, Brianna's abduction by Stephen Bonnet, Jamie's near-death experience after being bitten by a poisonous snake, and the death of his godfather Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) at the Battle of Alamance.

Yes! Season 7 of Starz's Outlander has been greenlit, and an Outlander spinoff is in the works!
