Well, if these leaks are correct, it looks like we have our first look at live-action Sonic for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Though fans are hating on it right away, it actually doesn't look that bad. Sure, the CGI is nowhere near as good when compared to something like Pokemon: Detective Pikachu but it could have looked a lot worse.

Obviously, the major criticisms come from this major overhaul since the blue blur's regular look is pretty timeless and getting away from that has been a subject of controversy. Fans might even point out that Sonic looks better in games like Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Forces, both of which have a fine art style. Still, we have yet to see the character in action so there's a good chance that a trailer can change our minds.

The movie's story has Sonic teaming up with a policeman played by James Marsden to take down Doctor Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey. Fans found it interesting that they decided to call Sonic's nemesis since the games have decided to stick with his Eggman moniker. Both names are accepted by the fanbase, though Robotnik does sound a bit cooler.

Sonic the Hedgehog comes out on November 9. Let's use the Chaos Emeralds to make this a good movie.
