One YouTuber reacted to the new open letter supporting Amber Heard. Mr H Reviews slammed the open letter for its hypocrisy.

Open Letter For Amber Heard Attempts To Guilt And Gaslight Everyone?

Mr H Reviews is one of the YouTubers who has been following Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's legal battle. He has created several contents from the exes' trial.

He read the open letter signed by 140 experts and organizations that stand by the Aquaman actress. However, for him, the letter was a desperate move, and it didn't change his mind about Heard.

"But this open letter is attempting to silence a survivor. Actually, you don't see the hypocrisy, you don't see the contradiction about what you're doing. No, right?" he said in the video while reading the letter.

He questioned several parts of the letter, including the last line, which condemns the public shaming of Heard and expresses support for the actress by commenting, "why?"

The letter concluded with, "We support the ability of all to report intimate partner and sexual violence free of harassment and intimidation." The YouTuber agreed with it.

"So do I, right like anyone being abused," Mr H Reviews said. "Male, female should report it, if it's actually happening, you know. And isn't you know, a weirdly calculated... I don't know. Attempted ruining a man's life or woman's life, doesn't matter, so definitely report it if it's happening."

He went on and read the various feminist organizations supporting Heard and said they did themselves a massive "disservice" by standing with Heard.

"Any feminist support on this, you're doing yourself a massive disservice. No one's interested in nay of the crap you've got to say now," he continued. "Barely, I. You're losing what little support you had ."

He concluded, "This is all just desperation. It's a desperate rallying cry because I think they filed their appeals and it ain't going well. It ain't going well for Amber Heard. This is desperate."

What's Inside The Open Letter Supporting Amber Heard?

On Wednesday, an open letter for Amber Heard was published, and it was signed by many feminist organizations, including Woman's March Action, The Asian Feminist, Women's March Foundation, Feminist Majority Foundation, Fearless and more.

Several individuals also supported Heard, including writer and activist Gloria Steinem, actor and author Constance Wu, filmmaker Amy Ziering, chartered psychologist Dr. Jessica Taylor and more.

The letter condemns the June 1 verdict in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation trial in Virginia. It alleged that the verdict "deeply concerned many professionals in the fields of intimate partner and sexual violence."

"As many, including A.O. Scott for The New York Times have noted, the vilification of Ms. Heard and ongoing online harassment of her and those who have voiced support for her have been unprecedented in both vitriol and scale," the letter read.

"Much of this harassment was fueled by disinformation, misogyny, biphobia, and a monetized social media environment where a woman’s allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault were mocked for entertainment. The same disinformation and victim-blaming tropes are now being used against others who have alleged abuse," the letter continued.
"In our opinion, the Depp v. Heard verdict and continued discourse around it indicate a fundamental misunderstanding of intimate partner and sexual violence and how survivors respond to it. The damaging consequences of the spread of this misinformation are incalculable. We have grave concerns about the rising misuse of defamation suits to threaten and silence survivors.

The letter concluded by condemning the public shaming of Heard and how they united to support the Magic Mike XXL star.
