One Piece has etched its name as a staple in manga and as the next saga is confirmed to be the last of the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats, the official Twitter account of the title, announced that they will be going on a month-long hiatus to prepare for the final act.

As announced through the official Twitter page of One Piece, the beloved manga series will be having a month-long break to give Eiichiro Oda the time to prepare for the start of the final saga of the series and the upcoming 25th anniversary of the title.

One Piece will start its hiatus on June 27, after the release of the 30th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump and they will be back with the 34th issue of the manga magazine on July 25 with the start of the final saga.

This message of One Piece confirms that after the Wano Country arc, it would be the final saga for Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats but no need to worry because it has been proven by One Piece that a saga can run for years like that of the Four Emperors Saga which lasted from 2016 up to 2022.

One Piece Film: Red premieres on August 6 in Japanese theaters while there is no release date yet for its international premiere.

Other than the movie, Oda will also be overseeing the upcoming live-action series of One Piece on Netflix as the executive producer. He was supposed to fly to Cape Town, South Africa where the show is filming but due to the closure of borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was forced to cancel.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It was first released in July 1997 and it is currently published on Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, and on Viz Media. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates as they look for the fabled treasure known as the “One Piece” which would give Luffy the title of the King of the Pirates.
