This theory started to go around in Japan then made its way into the United States as a Twitter user, @newworldartur, showed a piece where Luffy, the captain, continued with his fight with Kaido and while the two are in the middle of it, there seems to be a hint that Gear Five is about to enter the story because, after all, Luffy was already interested in it, and he also told Kaido that he finally reached the final Gear four.

Fans that are following the manga jumped in excitement as speculations surrounding the debut of Gear Five came out. The puzzle pieces are starting to build a picture that Luffy is, indeed, about to be in Gear Five as in one panel, while is he in Gear Four, he called out to Kaido who slashed the need of the people of Wano, and there, fans believe that in between the lines, a secret message lies.

The shading in the said panel really seemed to include the words “Gear Five” in Hiragana, written vertically and actually filled upside down but if the people are really keen into details, this is one that did not slip through their sight.
