Following the film’s release in Japan, new info on Shanks’ iconic pirate crew was released. Specifically, the new One Piece Film: Red booklet noted the abilities of the Red Hair Pirates along with other details.

The booklet was released alongside the new One Piece movie in Japan, and it was shared and translated by @newworldartur on Twitter.

The info on the crew was shared in a series of Tweets which include sketches of Shanks’ pirates drawn by creator Eiichiro Oda.

Aside from Shanks, the Red-Hair crew members that were featured include Benn Beckmann, Yasopp, Lucky Roux, Monster, Bonk Punch, Limejuice, Hongo, Building Snake, and Howling Gab.

While fans of the series are likely familiar with their abilities already, the film’s booklet shares some new and interesting insight that is canon, at least according to @newworldarthur.

Some of the interesting info in the booklet include how Shanks is referred to as an "Observation-killer" as he seemingly stops opponents from looking into the future through aura control.

Meanwhile, it’s also detailed that Yasopp can hit 100 targets with 100 shots and that he also uses observational haki like his son, Usopp.

There’s also navigator Building Snake who has been looking over Luffy and Uta’s growth over the years, albeit at a distance.

Both characters are also featured in the booklet. Oda even drew several sketches of Uta at different ages.

One Piece: Film Red is the fifteenth feature film in the franchise, and it follows Luffy and his crew as they attend Uta's concert.

Uta is the world’s most popular singer, and she is also the daughter of Shanks. Given that Shanks makes a rare appearance in the film, it is also confirmed that the rest of the Red Hair Pirates are in the movie.

The new One Piece movie was released in Japan on August 6, 2022. A Fall 2022 release is scheduled in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, and more.
