Nikki finally tied the knot with Artem Chigvintsev in August 2022, but this journey didn’t come easy.

The couple gave their fans a glimpse of their wedding journey on the E! docuseries Nikki Bella Says I Do, which dropped on January 26.

“We really wanna be husband and wife,” she said in the docuseries’ first episode. “But there’s been a lot of things that have delayed our wedding. First, I got pregnant. That was kind of a big shocker.”

The two welcomed their first child in July 2020, ending up prioritizing the bird of their son, Matteo, that they stopped planning their wedding, especially since the kid arrived amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We were just trying to figure out how to be parents,” she continued. “Then Artem does Dancing With the Stars. That’s actually a lot within two years if you think about it.”

Chigvintsev shared the same sentiment.

“It’s obviously a long time coming, I mean, from proposal to where we are right now,” he stated.

But despite all the hurdles, everything was worth it when Nikki and Chigvintsev finally fulfilled their plan to exchange their I dos.
