In this month's State of the Agents blog, VALORANT character producer John Goscicki talked about how the Characters team have been discussing about the Initiator role, specifically the Agent Sova, while noting that it takes 12-15 months to develop a new VALORANT Agent.

Gosciki also reveals that they've been focused on identifying unique gameplay differences within the realm of recon/info, and landed in a space that has more "localized Initiation and recon tools.

Here's the teaser for the next VALORANT Agent:

"This next Agent should give you a more…intimate feeling when hunting down enemies. Of course, there is our theme—but the thought of giving away too much frightens me so I’ll leave that out."

The teaser came with an image of a coffee cup with a unique logo, and as you can see below, it looks like the new Agent has been busy trying to hunt down other Agents.
