Now that a number of trailers for Thor: Ragnarok can be viewed, fans have been wondering about the fate of Sif and the Warriors Three. Fandral, Hogun, Sif, and Volstagg are Thor's best friends so not seeing them in any of the teasers has made fans wonder if they are still alive. Thanks to a new still image released to the public, we now know that one of these characters survived.
In the still image, we see Hogun the Grim with an army behind him. However, we don't see any of the other Warriors Three or Lady Sif, so the still might actually raise more questions than answers. Director Taika Waititi did say that the film would explain what happened to these characters but did not elaborate further.

While they were never major characters in either Thor film, the characters are beloved in the Thor comics. Jamie Alexander's Lady Sif actually appeared in an episode of Agents of SHIELD, with many saying she was the best part of that particular episode. Despite not getting a lot of screen time, the characters do deserve some sort of explanation for their disappearance.
Thor: Ragnarok is slated for a November 3 release.
