New Star Wars Game Possibly Leaked

Star Wars Eclipse is the name of a new Star Wars game that is apparently in development at Quantic Dream, the developer best known for games such as Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human. The new rumor doesn’t say much about the game, but it does imply that it takes place during the High Republic era, a period of 200 years when the Galactic Republic was at the height of its power. This era is known as the golden age for the Jedi and a time where the exploration and expansion in the Outer Rim Territories were taking place.

As for the possible leak, it comes from the industry insider and a reporter of Venture Beat, Jeff Grubb, who revealed these details during a podcast of Giant Bomb. Unfortunately, this is everything that he shared about the game, which we’ve been hearing a lot of noise for a couple of months.

There was also another leak back in September by a reliable industry insider. In the post of the notable video game leaker Tom Henderson, he shared an imaged that seemed to suggest that Quantic Dream could be working on a Star Wars game. He didn’t provide any caption alongside his post to comment on what the picture could mean, but a lot of fans quickly inferred that this image seems to suggest that a Star Wars project from Quantic Dream could be in development.

Just this year, a lot of rumors started to surface that claim Quantic Dream is working on an open-world Star Wars game. Meanwhile, through different rumors, there is also news that a new High republic game was being developed. Now, it seems these rumors have come together. With that said, it is important to remember that this all came from a rumor, which means that everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt. While the source of the leak has been proven to be reliable in the past, there is still no official announcement and it is also subject to change.
