New Black Adam Trailer Shows Extended Look at Justice Society of America

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the highly-anticipated DCEU film Black Adam during last night's Thursday Night Football and ahead of its theatrical release next month. Based on the new footage that they showed, it looks like the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is indeed about to change as they promised.

The new trailer gave us an extended look at the Justice Society of America where we see them being called by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis reprising her role from the previous DCEU films) and tasked them to stop the titular character's rampage and convince him to become a hero. We also had our first look at Sabbac, who is speculated to be the main antagonist of the film.

While the new trailer showed some of the scenes that were already featured in the previous trailers, it did give us an idea about what the story is all about and how the Justice Society of America plays into the story of the film as well as its connection to the rest of the DCEU.

This is also a sign that the studio is officially starting to ramp up its marketing campaign ahead of the film's release next month. Considering the current state of the DCEU and with one of the biggest movie stars leading it, Warner Bros. is certainly hoping that the film will be a huge success and have another win for DC to its slate after The Batman earlier this year.

The film's logline reads: "Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."
