New Aladdin TV Spot Gives Us More of ‘A Whole New World’

Disney continues to push forward with their live-action adaptations of classic films, and after Dumbo, we're now looking at the arrival of Guy Ritchie's Aladdin. The film is set to come out sometime next month, and we have a new TV spot giving us more of Will Smith's Genie as well as the Whole New World sequence.

While I personally would have liked confirmation for songs like One Jump and Prince Ali, I think it's fine that the movie is not playing all of its cards in the trailers. The visuals already look fantastic, and I'm sure Will Smith will bring his own unique twist to the character of the Genie. While the animated film did rely heavily on Robin Williams' performance, I'm hoping this live-action movie will give a chance for all the characters to shine.

For now, Disney is focusing on the release of Avengers: Endgame, and no spoilers, but I think the movie as fantastic and was a definite pay off for fans who have been following the MCU since Iron Man. We don't know how it will do in theaters yet, but I have a feeling it's going to be eating up profits all the way into June.

This is the official description of Aladdin:

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney's animated classic, "Aladdin" is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

Catch Guy Ritchie's Aladdin in theaters May 24.
