Netflix's The Witcher was generally received well by both the fans, gamers, and the viewers. However, one thing that stuck out to some people is the show's confusing timeline, which led to other fans even making one. Following Geralt, Yennefer, and Cirila's story in only eight episodes could be a lot to process, but the streaming service has officially released a timeline of the first season to help you out with that.

The timeline actually starts in 1210, wherein Yennefer was sold to Aretuza in episode 2, following shortly is her transformation in the third episode. The start of Geralt's journey was in episode 1 wherein he was deemed as the Butcher of Blaviken, what follows is both Jaskier and Geralt getting abducted by elves in the second episode. After that is the assassination of Yennefer's queen with her going rogue on episode 2. Geralt then fights the Striga in the third episode.

Skipping to 1249, the timeline starts in episode 4 where Pavetta, Ciri's mother, promises her daughter to Geralt with the Law of Surprise.

Yennefer and Geralt finally meet in episode 5. Not long after, the two characters cross paths once again in the sixth episode where they hunt for a dragon. Geralt's wish was revealed, which led to Yennefer severing their relationship.

Leaping over to 1263, Geralt returns to Cintra in episode 7 to claim Cirilla and save her from her destiny. However, he ends up getting imprisoned. The Battle of Mardanal Valley ensued in episode 1 where Queen Calanthe lost. Going back to episode 7, Yennefer returns to Aretuza in preparation of the Nilfgaardian attack. What follows is Calanthe committing suicide and Ciri fleeing from Cintra, which was shown in the first episode.

Finally, in the last episode, Yennefer wins the Battle of Sodden Hill using her chaos, afterward, Geraly and Ciri finally meet, which is only the start of their adventure. Viewers would likely get to know more of this in the upcoming second season.
