While the latest NCIS spinoff, Hawai'i, was not introduced via the original prior to its premiere, fans will finally enjoy a crossover during its first season.

In a video posted to Instagram by NCIS' Wilmer Valderrama (who plays Special Agent Nick Torres) and Katrina Law ((who plays Special Agent Jessica Knight, introduced last season before being promoted to series regular), the actors of both shows announced the welcome news. For the event, both will be traveling to Hawai'i.

In the Instagram video, the NCIS: Hawai'i cast also shared their reactions.

What to Expect in the NCIS Crossover

There are no specifics on what led Torres and Knight to go on the over 5,000-mile journey.

NCIS is, of course, the most-watched entertainment show on television this season, while NCIS: Hawai'i is tied for the most-watched new series with FBI: International.

When TVLine talked with the showrunners of the aforementioned NCIS programs this fall, they had nothing concrete to say about a first crossover, but they were both open to it.

“We haven’t discussed it yet,” NCIS showrunner Steven D. Binder told the outlet, “but I’ve worked and known [NCIS: Hawai’i co-showrunner] Chris Silber for a really long time, so that always makes those sorts of things easier.”

NCIS Crossover Air Date

The crossover is set to air on NBC in the U.S. on Mar. 28.

“It’s going to be good being back on the island solving crimes,” Law hinted.

Previously, she appeared as Quinn Liu in the CBS program Hawaii Five-O during the show's 10th season.

Vanessa Lachey stars as Jane Tennant, the first woman in command of NCIS Pearl Harbor.

"Jane Tennant has thrived and risen through the ranks by equal parts confidence and strategy in a system that has pushed back on her every step of the way," the official synopsis reads.

The series will follow Jane and her team as they juggle "duty to family and country, investigates high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the island itself," with Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon also starring.
