Studio Bones picked up the title two years after for the anime adaptation.

Horikoshi's manga series started as a one-shot, titled My Hero. However, due to insistent public demand, My Hero Academia became a manga series that is published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.

My Hero Academia centers around Izuku Midoriya aka Deku, in a world where it is common for one to have a "Quirk."
